Summer Learning Journey Week Two Offering a Helping Hand

  1. Buy chocolate or cookies and go around selling them for 5 dollars. Then give the money to the families of my clothes or food then give the families that.
  2. Do a fundraiser to get money we can sing, dance, or have a ruffle.
  3. We can do chores for the neighbours and they can pay us.

  1. Hi Makaea,

My name's Ruby and I'm one of the people who will be blogging with you during the Summer Learning Journey program. It's great to see you've been doing so well with these activities.

Great work with this activity! Those are some great ideas. I wonder what sort of fundraiser you would do. Are you talking about doing a show where you would sing and dance? Perhaps you could sell baking there too.

My church once did a car wash to raise money for some people. It was hard work for us put it paid off! Have you ever taken part in something like that?

I look forward to reading more of your blog over the summer.
    Cheers,
    Ruby.

  2. Hey Makaea,

This is Jade C, it's great to be back to read more of your activity posts! I can see that you are an active blogger and learning even outside the school. Well done :)

Have you ever participated in a fundraising event to help others in need? I went to a lot of events like concerts and selling chocolates to raise money for disabled people in our community. It was really hard to fundraise a decent amount of money, but at the end it was all worth it and I felt really good and proud of doing something amazing for others. Have you ever been involved in something like this?

I would love to read more about your personal experiences that relate to the activities!

    All the best,

    Jade C.

2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
