Summer Learning Journey Week Two Making a Fashion Statement
The outfits that people wore in the late 1940s are very different to the outfits we wear now. Women wearing hats and gloves in their day to day outfits men wearing hats and suits all day. I would prefer the outfits we wear today. The outfits they wore back then must of gotten hot with all the layers of clothes. But that is just my opinion.

3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.

Hey Makaea thanks for completing another activity, well done!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to read your opininon on fashion in the olden days compared with fashion today. I like how you've noted that it would have been very hot in all those layers. That's exactly what I was thinking!
I much prefer fashion today because there's a lot more freedom and variety in what people wear. You can change your outfit to suit an occasion, rather than wearing the same thing for everything you do.
What do you think the fashion will be like in the future?
Thanks, Billy
Kia Ora Makaea,
ReplyDeleteI hope you are spending a lovely holiday with your family and friends.
I really like how you made this really personal and expressed your own opinion very clearly in your statement. I also think that the outfits we wear today are much more efficient, comfortable, and simple than the clothes that were common in the 1940s.
However, it doesn't mean I hate 1940s fashion as some of the designs and clothes that we wear today are greatly influenced by fashion style in the late-1940s.
I look forward to hear from you and reading more of your activity blogs!
Have a lovely day,
Jade C.
