Drama-Week 7

On Tuesday we talked about emotions:Not all the changes of puberty are physical. Some changes are in your head! Puberty hormones can make you feel overly emotional.

Name your feeling
look at the list of feeling words. Is there a feeling you see that you felt yesterday or today?
Your feeling face.
Emoticon [or draw a face] to match how you feel.
Take responsible action for your feelings.
Respond to the feeling in a way that is kind to yourself and others. Write or draw your idea.

Yesterday I felt bored because there was nothing to do.

This a video from drama performed by other students.

Drama

Drama - Week 6

In drama this week we did a lot of this. Firstly we learnt a little bit about puberty, and the changes we have to go through. We learnt about the scientific names of each part of the body and the menstruation cycle.

We practice our voice and doing different tough twisters. We also looked at slam poetry and chorus work. Then we got our poems and practice performing them. Later we performed them in front of the class.

Poem

In drama this week we had to write a poem. We took inspiration from Rosa Parks.

Group: Makaea, Kyla, Shontae, Talia
You are who you are
Who else would you want to be
Sometimes others are just mean.
Don’t be who someone else wants you to.
The could be nice but they choose not to.
Know your family is caring and loving of you.
Sometimes you say these words make you feel like drowning.
You are so understanding and I’m not lying.

Now no need for crying, be who you a person with a heart of a lion.

Drama - Week 2

Drama - Week 2

This week in drama we were doing the activity "hot seat". "Hot seat" is when you act as a person. So like you have to sit like them talk like them. The other people in your group would have to interview you. We had to choose a person the is athletic for me I chose my Aunty Manu. Because she owns a fitness company.

Here is a link to the interview.

I think that if I didn't forget what to say and not get nervous I could've done better. My goal for next week is to do better in performing. By not forgetting what to do and relax when performing in front of people.
