Jobs in Theatre
1. Front of house:
the parts of a theatre in front of the p/roscenium arch.
2. Musical Director
the person responsible for the musical aspects of a performance or production, typically the conductor or leader of a music group.
3. Stage Manager
the person responsible for the lighting and other technical arrangements for a stage play.
4. Producer
a person responsible for the financial and managerial aspects of the making of a film or broadcast or for staging a play, opera, etc.
5. Make-up artist
a person whose job is to apply cosmetics, e.g. to performers or models.
6. Choreographer
a person who composes the sequence of steps and moves for a performance of dance.
7. Dancer, Actor, Singer
8.Scenery Designer
the creation of theatrical, as well as film or television scenery. Scenic designers come from a variety of artistic backgrounds, but in recent years, are mostly trained professionals, holding a B.F.A. or M.F.A. degrees in theater arts. Scenic designers design sets and scenery that aim to support the overall artistic goals of the production.
9. Costume Designer
A costume designer is a person who designs costumesfor a film, stage production or television.
