Kiwi Bakers - Savouries
This week in cooking we had the choice to make either a sweet pastry item or a savoury pastry item.For the sweet pastry it was apple turnovers and for savoury pastry we made egg scrolls.
Ingredients:
Puff pastry
Egg
milk
other items of your choice (ham, cheese, ect.)
We first collected the ingredients needed and others that we wanted. After whisking the egg and milk together we were allowed to cut the puff pastry out to put into the tray. We somehow had enough puff pastry to cut out 12 scrolls. We then filled the scrolls with egg, cheese, ham and corn. Then we put it into the oven for about 15 minutes. They were very delicious when they were finished.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Hi Makaea. A well written blog.Some photos would have added a great finishing touch. Was the pastry crisp? Was the filling soft? These evaluations are also needed to complete the blog.
