Week 1 Summer Learning Journey: Waka Ana
I think it would be fun but I just don't think I'm good enough to do this. Maybe in the future I would grow more to this sport. But for now I want to learn more about waka racing. So I know if I want to do I know what to do.

Maui used his ancestor Murirangawhenua's jawbone for his line. Maui pulled up the North island by himself. Maui's canoe is the South island. Maui's mother cut off her hair and put Maui in it when he was just a baby. She then threw him into the ocean and that's how Maui became a demi god. Then many years later Maui found his mother and his bothers by turning into a bird and flying across the country to find them.

Poha to Kirihou
This term we have been learning about how food preservation has changed since the early days. I have learnt how that we have damaged the environment killing sea animals when we throw our plastic in the ocean we need to work on not using plastic. We made wax wraps in class and they are better to use than plastic.
